Happy to report I have a new alpaca sweater. This is a pattern I developed myself, mostly while knitting the sweater, so I'm lucky the armholes are in the right place and my head fits through the head hole. Head hole? Every so often while things went along I had to run upstairs and card and spin more yarn. Overall I am pleased, though I think next time I'll make it a little shorter, maybe flared at the bottom and more fitted at the top, a cowl neck. Maybe just a whole new sweater!
It needed a scarf, so I flung a length of roving around my neck.
